WWII and the Battle of Britain with
Sir Winston Churchill
From 1939 to1945 WWII is known to be the largest and bloodiest conflict in history.
By late May of 1940, the German onslaught left 338,000 Allied soldiers stranded on the beaches of Dunkirk. Only could they wait for rescue from the English Coastline.
With many dead or captured by the German Nazi, the evacuation of remaining Allied forces from Dunkirk began with every small vessel available and people of Britain repeatedly ferrying Allied soldiers across the waters. Did then the Battle of Britain begin, fort mainly in the skies by pilots of the Royal Airforce and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy to deter the German Luftwaffe air force.
